"I am greatly impressed to see the state of the art facilities for Thalassemia children," said the president of Albaraka Bank, Shafqaat Ahmed. he said this while visiting Afzaal Memorial Thalassemia Foundation (AMTF) facilities for Thalassemia/Blood Disorder Children. He said that at AMTF they have been providing excellent health care facilities for prevention, diagnosis and treatment to Thalassemia and blood disorder children without any cash counter, which is remarkable and I would like to appreciate their efforts.
Executive Director AMTF Ateeq Ur Rehman said that AMTF is working for a Thalassemia-free Pakistan, explaining that thalassemia is a self-inflicted disease and it spreads due to human faults. He said the treatment of thalassemia children is very expensive and is out of reach of a common man, so they are permanent guests of the hospital.
Rehan Yaseen (finance secretary, AMTF), Mrs Rahila Esmail (SVP - head of communication, Albarka Bank), Nadeem Hamied Munderawalla (area manger, Albaraka Bank) and Kashif Alvi, Muhammad Ali (branch managers, Albaraka Bank ) also visited the AMTF.
