Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif said that Turkey was the first country which supported Pakistan after the tweet of the US President while Turkish companies are working in Pakistan specially Punjab. He said this while talking to Consul General of Turkey in Lahore Serdar Deniz who paid a farewell call on him. Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique, Provincial Minister for Planning and Development Malik Nadeem Kamran, vice chairman Punjab Investment Board, Khawaja Ahmad Hasan and others concerning officials were also present on the occasion.
Shahbaz paid tributes to the Turkish Consul General for playing constructive role in promoting Pak-Turkey relationships and wished him best of luck for the future assignments. Talking to the Turkish CG, Shahbaz said that Serdar Deniz has played an effective role in promoting and strengthening Pak-Turkey ties and his efforts will be remembered for a long time.
"Pakistan and Turkey have friendly and brotherly bilateral ties and the people of both countries have sentiments of love and purity for each other," he said, adding: "Turkey has always supported Pakistan in case of natural calamities like floods, earthquakes and others. From the last few years, brotherly ties between Pakistan and Turkey have been translated into bilateral trade and due to the economic cooperation the friendship between both countries has become everlasting.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the prime minister and other leadership has always provided corporation to Pakistan, and the government and the people of Pakistan pray for the bright future of Turkey." The Turkish consul general said he remained appointed to this post for two years and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has always extended support to him. He said he will always remember the time spent in Lahore. He said the chief minister has played very effective role in promoting Pak-Turkey ties.
