Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Senator Sirajul Haq, former JI chief Syed Munawar Hasan, JI leaders including Ch. Rehmat Elahi, Ch. Muhammad Aslam Saleemi, Hafiz Muhammad Idrees, Professor Muhammad Ibrahim, Asadullah Bhutto, Rashid Naseem, Mian Muhammad Aslam, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, deputy Secretary Generals of the JI, Muhammad Asghar, Syed Waqas Jafery, Azhar Iqbal Hasan, Hafiz Sajid Anwar, and Khalid Rehman, besides Maulana Abdul Malik, JI Information Secretary Amirul Azeem, former Information Secretary M Anwar Niazi, and deputy Secretary Information, Qaiser Sharif, have expressed deep grief over the demise of Ch. Safdar Ali.
In a joint statement they paid rich tributes to late Ch. Safdar Ali. They said that the deceased was associated with the JI from his youth and devoted all his life for the service of Islam. They prayed that Allah Almighty may accept the good deeds of the deceased and grant him best place in paradise. They also expressed condolences with the members of the bereaved family. A dedicated worker of the Jamaat-e-Islami and former Information Secretary of the JI, Ch. Safdar Ali, breathed his last after protracted illness. He was 76. He had been suffering from diabetes for the last several years.
