Deputy Chief of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has said that the provision of education and health facilities was the primary responsibility of the federal and provincial governments but they had miserably failed on this front.
He was speaking at the installation ceremony of C.T. Scan machine at Mansoora hospital. Farid Piracha said the rulers talked much of good governance and development but the facts were otherwise. He said the number of government hospitals in the country was too inadequate to meet the demand of the increasing population and three to four patients were found lying on a single bed. He said the Mansoora Hospital enjoyed the confidence of the people in the area and with the installation of C.T. Scan machine, the diagnosis of mental diseases would also be possible.
