Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has strongly condemned the brutal murder of a Gilgit student in a clash with local youth at the LDA ground and has called upon the government and the police to immediately arrest the killers. In a statement here on Wednesday, he said that the youth from other parts of the country including Gilgit and Baltistan studying in the local educational institutions have equal right to participate in games and sports with the local youth.
He said that Dilawar Abbas had reportedly been subjected to torture and succumbed to his injures at the General hospital but the LDA authorities and the police paid no heed to the grievances of the aggrieved family.
