On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,361. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.638 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,782.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.823 billion followed by gold PKR 1.775 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 718.853 million, DJ PKR 473.446 million, silver PKR 391.853 million, platinum PKR 143.770 million, NSDQ100 PKR 104.386 million, natural gas PKR 100.856 million, SP500 PKR 56.341 million, copper PKR 36.438 million and Brent crude oil PKR 12.457 million. In agricultural commodities 7 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 3.170 million were traded.
