The 36th National Men and the 1st National Women Boxing Championships will be played under the aegis of Wapda Sports Board at Wapda Sports Complex from January 20 to 24, 2018. As many as 15 teams will participate in the Men Championships ie Wapda, Army, Navy, Air Force, Railways, KPT, K-Electric, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad, AJ&K, FATA and Gilgit Baltistan. Men's competitions will be held in 10 weight categories which are 46, 52, 56, 60, 64, 69, 75, 81, 91 and 91+ kilogramme.
Opening ceremony of the championships will be held on January 20 at 1330 hours. Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) President Lieutenant-General Arif Hassan (Retd) will be the Chief Guest, while Wapda Chairman and Wapda Sports Board patron-in-chief Lieutenant General Muzammil Hussain (Retd) will be the Chief Guest of the closing ceremony scheduled to be held on January 24 at 1430 hours.
