On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,404. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6,807 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,789.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.447 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.117 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 651.849 million, DJ PKR 540.362 million, silver PKR 391.249 million, NSDQ100 PKR 244.279 million, platinum PKR 201.844 million, natural gas PKR 93.911 million, copper PKR 62.389 million, SP500 PKR 35.785 million and Brent crude oil PKR 21.375 million. In agricultural commodities 57 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 25.890 million were traded.
