The Supreme Court asked KP police chief on Friday to submit report about murder of a minor girl Asma of Murdan. Asma's body was found in fields after she had gone missing. She had been reportedly sexually molested before death.
Taking suo motu notice in response to a news report in a section of press over heinous crime against minor girl Asma, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar granted 24 hours to Inspector General of Police KP to submit report in the matter.
Meanwhile, taking another suo moto notice, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar issued directives to Director General Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Karachi to produce record of private planes. Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar asked the DG CAA Karachi to appear before the apex court's Karachi registry on January 27 (today) with record of movement of private planes/jets on all airports during the last 15 days. Besides, Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar also directed the DG CAA to submit report about inquiry/investigation pertaining to appointments of pilots made on the basis of fake degrees/ certificates.
