On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,355. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6,361 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,981.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.456 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.684 billion, DJ PKR 654.650 million, silver PKR 413.256 million, WTI crude oil PKR 336.022 million, platinum PKR 305.554 million, NSDQ100 PKR 184.233 million, copper PKR 118.425 million, natural gas PKR 104.537 million, SP500 PKR 94.563 million, and Brent crude oil PKR 8.875 million. In agricultural commodities, 104,130 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 18.359 million and 13 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 5.586 million were traded.
