Secretary General, Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch has said that after the 9/11, terrorism and freedom fighting had been mixed up and India was continuing the massacre of the Kashmiris under US patronage. Addressing at a press conference in connection with the Kashmir Solidarity Day, at the Lahore Press Club on Thursday, he said that the Kashmiris had been struggling for liberation since 1948 and around eight lakh Indian troops had failed to crush the movement despite their brutalities.
He said it was the moral duty of the United Nations and the world community to allow the right of self determination to the Kashmiris in line with the UN resolutions instead of remaining silent on worst human rights violations. He said the Pakistani rulers had not done their duty regarding the Kashmir but the Pakistani nation and the JI would not abandon them.
He said that Kashmir Day rallies would be taken out all over the country on February 05, including Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta. On February 03, APCs, seminars and conferences would be held at different press clubs and bars. Besides, students from schools and colleges would stage walks to express their support for the Kashmiris and to condemn the India atrocities. On February 04, the JI Youth would stage a motorcycle rally across the country.
