Residents of Gujjar Ghari, Mardan, members of the local jirga and workers Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged a joint protest rally against the politicization of Asma murder case. The participants of the rally demanded the chief justice of Pakistan to exhume the grave of the child to conduct the post mortem to clear the cause of the death of the child.
The participants were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against District Nazim, Mardan Himayatullah Mayar. Large number of the residents of Gujjar Ghari attended the rally. Addressing the protesters, Saifullah, the uncle of the ill-fate child criticized District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar and asked him to stop politics on the body of his deceased nice. He added that the female who bathe the child said that the child was neither sexually abused and nor killed. He added that Himayat Mayar defame our family.
Similarly, Baharam Khan, father of the deceased Asma said that his daughter was neither killed and nor sexually abused. He added that his child went to the fields located near his house where she frightened from dogs and other animals and due to fear she died. He added that people belonging from Islamabad, Peshawar and other cities are defaming his family. He requests the people to stop defaming his family and child. Addressing the protest rally other speakers including Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Sajid Iqbal, Haji Aurangzeb, Malak Ameer Zeb, Naeed Khan, Khatab Bacha, Qari Shamshad, Jahanzeb and Ajmal Khan demanded of the Chief Justice of Pakistan to exhume the grave of the child to re-conduct the post-mortem of the child. They also demanded the chief justice of Pakistan to also conduct an inquiry against the Lady Doctor Fatima who conducted the post-mortem report and declared that the child was sexually abused. They alleged that the lady doctor with the connivance of someone mentioned in the post mortem report that the child was sexually abused while she was neither killed and nor sexually abused. They also demanded the chief justice of Pakistan to take action against Himayat Mayar for defaming the deceased child and her family.
