The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with respect to investigations into supplementary references of Al-Azizia Steel Mill and Flagship investment references filed against the Sharif family. The sources said that NAB Rawalpindi has summoned Sharif today (Saturday) to record his statement regarding supplementary references to be filed regarding Al-Azizia Steel Mill and Flagship investment case. The NAB will file supplementary references in the Accountability Court in the next few days, they added.
The NAB has already filed a supplementary reference against the Sharif family regarding Avenfield reference in the anti-graft court. Top anti-graft body has filed three references - Al-Azizia Steel Mill, Flagship investment and Avenfield references against former PM Sharif, his sons Hussain Nawaz and Hasan Nawaz, daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain Muhammad Safdar (retd).
