Rabita Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) was shocked when the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced on Friday that only Dr Farooq Sattar is authorized to grant Senate elections' tickets to members of the party. The MQM's Rabita Committee had earlier written to the ECP, stating that Dr Farooq Sattar will not be given the authority to award tickets for the elections.
However, the polling authority said that only the head of the party has the authority to issue tickets to any party members.
