The Punjab government has decided to utilize data of 'Citizen Feedback Monitoring Program (CFMP)' being operated by the Punjab Information Technology Board for comprehensive planning and development purposes. This was decided in a meeting of experts of PITB under Chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary Punjab Omer Rasool, here on Monday at Civil Secretariat.
In this regard, a special cell comprising experts of PITB would also be established at Punjab Civil Secretariat. The Additional Chief Secretary told media that 21.79 million citizens contacted Citizen Feedback Monitoring Program on telephone for the services provided by the different departments of Punjab government. Disciplinary actions against 18750 government employees were taken on the complaints and unsatisfactory services under Citizen Feedback Monitoring Program (CFMP). It was further disclosed that 4,997 employees were served warning, inquires initiated against 2540 and show cause notices issued to 1250.
As many as 137 employees were transferred, 106 were punished, 82 were terminated, 41 suspended and five were made OSD in the light of the complaints received through Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme (CFMP. It is pertinent to mention here that CFMP is providing 27 types of services to different departments of the Punjab government and collecting feedback from identified citizens who utilize public services. This feedback is analyzed to identify problem areas and help the officials take evidence based corrective measures.
CFMP is providing services to police for Rescue 15, Dolphin Squad, FIRs, Character Certificate, Driving License and PRU Squad, Food Department for (Bardana) gunny bags distribution and wheat procurement, LDA for building plans approval, transfer request and completion certificate, Punjab Disaster Management Authority ( PDMA) for flood relief and NWA IDPs, MDA for town planning, Estate & Land Management, Revenue Department for property registration, etc. It was also informed that 517 vacancies of different departments have been advertised on Punjab Jobs Portal and more than 30,000 have applied for jobs after uploading their personal profile.
Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board Dr Umer Saif also briefed the Additional Chief Secretary Punjab about their new initiatives and programs. Secretary Archeology Tahir Yousaf, Secretary Implementation & Coordination and officers of the concerned departments were also present on the occasion.
