Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country in next 24 hours, the Met Office said on Wednesday. However, it said, a light rain with (a light snowfall over the hills) is expected at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan over the period.
"A shallow westerly wave is still affecting Gilgit-Baltistan and its adjoining areas. Continental air is prevailing over most plain parts of the country," it said. In the last 24 hours: A cold and dry gripped the most parts of Pakistan. Temperature in Parachinar was minus 6 degrees Celsius, Kalam and Malamjabba minus 5, each and Rawalakot, Murree, Skardu, Astore and Ziarat minus 3, each.
