Supreme Court on Wednesday issued notices to federation and all the provinces while hearing appeals against Sindh High Court verdict which declared provision of natural gas on priority to the area where well-head is located. Resuming identical appeals in the matter, a five-member larger bench led by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar observed that matter of distribution of natural gas should go to the Council of Common Interests (CCI).
The Chief Justice asked the counsels for Engro Fertilizers Limited and Lucky Cement to complete their arguments in the matter during the next date of hearing. Later, hearing of the matter was adjourned for February 15(today)
