Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that the loud echo of the Lodhran bye-election result will be heard in the 2018 general elections, every constituency of Pakistan will act as the Lodhran constituency did and Imran Khan should know very clearly that decisions are taken by the thumbs of the people, not by the finger of umpire. Addressing the public representatives and the workers, Shahbaz said the PML-N government has won the hearts of the people by rendering public service and launching historic projects in education, health, agriculture and other sectors.
He said the country is moving on the path of economic revolution to achieve a prominent place in the international community and self-reliance; the PML-N government has taken praiseworthy measures for the social and economic uplift of the country and has created new economic opportunities due to revolutionary economic policies. He said the people support the leadership which ignored the United States' offer of $5 billion and made Pakistan the first atomic power of the Islamic world.
Shahbaz said the PML-N has rid the nation of energy crisis and loadshedding, adding that the nation will not forgive those who obstructed the progress and pushed the country towards problems and these elements have only promoted the politics of lies and allegations. He said those doing politics of allegations, lies and dual standards are not the well-wishers of the country, adding that the negative elements have shown poor performance in their province and the people of the KPK are also annoyed with those who raised empty slogans
He said, "Politics is the name of serving the nation with honesty and dedication. Now there will be only politics of public service as there is no room for the politics of allegations." He said selfless service of the public is his mission and he will continue discharging the duty of the public service till his last breath.
