Qaumi Watan Party Chairman Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao has urged federal government to take serious notice of step-motherly treatment with Pakhtuns in the country and ensure protection of their lives and properties to overcome increasing unrest among them. The QWP chief in a statement here on Monday said that the incidents pertaining to killing, arrest of Pakhtuns in different parts of the country were increasing with each passing day which had caused serious unrest among the common people and leaders of the party as well.
He urged Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to take notice of such incidents and redress grievances of Pakhtuns. Referring to the extra judicial murder of Naqeebullah Mehsud by police in Karachi, the QWO chief said that everyone knew about factual position of the case but even a politician was issuing statements to media in support of the suspended SSP. He said Pakhtuns had been playing pivotal role in development of the country but they were not ready to tolerate any kind of insulting treatment.
Sherpao warned that his party would not remain silent over any kind of step-motherly treatment with Pakhtuns and its leaders would raise voice at every available platform without any hesitation.
