Chairman Bhagat Singh Memorial Foundation Imtiaz Rashid Qureshi on Wednesday approached the Lahore High Court seeking directions for naming Shadman Chowk as Bhagat Singh Chowk. The petitioner stated that Bhagat Singh was a freedom fighter of the subcontinent and gave his life for the cause of freedom.
He pleaded that a statute of the great freedom fighter should also be installed at the square to inspire the people of Pakistan and the world.
