A student has died when a local bus in Rawalpindi ran over when he was trying to get onto it on Wednesday. According to fellow students who witnessed the incident, the victim was trying to get on the bus. As soon as the driver came to know that a student was trying to get on board, he sped up the bus in top gear. As a result, the student lost balance and fell over, due to which, the bus allegedly ran over him. The driver of the bus fled the scene.
According to sources, those present at the scene immediately transferred the injured boy to nearby hospital where he succumbed to wounds. A few students then turned into a motley mob that torched the bus and blocked Lahore-Islamabad GT Road, calling for punishing the driver fittingly. According to the students, the students often meet such treatment in public transport.
