Conclusion ceremony of the 4-month skill development programme organized by Institute of Business Administration of the varsity in collaboration with Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development (BBSYP) was held at Shaikh Ayaz Auditorium of Arts Faculty of University of Sindh, here on Wednesday. Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, Professor Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat presiding over the ceremony said that Pakistan was fortunate to comprise more than 60 percent youth population.
"These youth, when given quality education, most innovative skill development orientation, positive perspectives on life and accurate direction will alter the destiny of the country." He further said that skilled youth alone can transform Pakistan and training is a key to personal and professional excellence and future headway.
Event Chief Guest Sindh Minister for Information Technology Dr Sikandar Ali Shoro said that the need to concentrate more closely on imparting youth with necessary technological wherewithal was the dire need of the time. He said that he was honoured to be at Sindh University premises which he termed his second home and "mini Sindh" as it comprised students from almost all parts of the province.
Dr Shoro announced construction of IT park at Sindh University Campus and congratulated the training participants, declaring them "trained and skill future human resource of Sindh".
