How unfortunate it is a former highly respected judge of Supreme Court and ex-Chief Justice of Sindh High Court had to face humiliation at the office of Chief Election Commission of Pakistan in Islamabad the other day. Media reports say that former justice Wajihuddin Ahmed was expelled from the office of Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Muhammad Raza, also a former judge, on Wednesday after an exchange of heated words.
Whatever the positions that the two former judges have taken against each other, the incident was highly unfortunate. It is however not known why a judge of a stature of Wajihuddin, the son of a highly respectable jurist, has decided to undergo the rigours of no so decent politics in Pakistan.
