NAIROBI: The Kenyan shilling was steady against the dollar on Monday and was expected to firm due to tight liquidity in the money market and thin demand from importers, traders said.
At 1241 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 102.35/55 per dollar, the same as Friday's close.
The weighted average interbank average rate rose to 8.2358 percent on Friday, compared with 7.6493 percent during the previous session.
