"After nearly 68 years, the first office of Employers Federation of Pakistan is being inaugurated in Lahore. This office will cater to the requirements of EFP members of Punjab, Islamabad and KPK". This was stated by Majyd Aziz, President Employers Federation of Pakistan, at the inauguration. Majyd Aziz said that the office, set up in the Chambers of Barrister Haroon Dugal, would be providing all essential services such as legal, training, consultancy, compliance etc. EFP has appointed a full time lawyer for legal matters and two experienced consultants who would be available in the office.
Majyd Aziz further disclosed that by the end of 2018, offices would be inaugurated in Islamabad, Peshawar and Hub. Thus, the services of EFP would be available at the doorsteps of members all over Pakistan. He paid tributes to Barrister Haroon Dugal who has been providing legal advice and guidance on a honorary basis and for providing an office on gratis basis. Barrister Haroon Dugal in his speech said that whatever small contribution he has made for EFP is primarily due to the prominence and importance of EFP. He further offered that all members of his law team in Lahore and Karachi will be available to EFP so that pragmatic, systematic and correct legal advice is given.
Fasihul Karim Siddiqi, Secretary General EFP, presented an overview of the need to set up the office as well as the responsibilities and work of the Lahore office. The ceremony was attended by Zaki Ahmed Khan, Vice President EFP, Members of EFP Board of Directors, Andrew Moore of Dutch Employers Cooperation Programme, Sadia Hameed of ILO, advocates and industrialists.
