President Mamnoon Hussain said that human resources could not be developed without quality education. Chairing a meeting of Zindagi Trust in Karachi on Saturday, he urged private sector and philanthropists to come forward and supplement the government efforts in promoting education. He lauded the role of Zindagi Trust in promoting education.
Mamnoon Hussain said nationalization policy had harmed education sector in the past as the industrialists stopped establishing educational institutions. The President said women's participation in the workforce is vital for national development.
He said education ministry is working on his proposal to appoint lady teachers at primary level. Head of Zindagi Trust Shahzad Roy briefed the president about the trust's efforts in education sector.
