PPP leader and former Chief Minister Punjab Mian Manzoor Wattoo has said that Sharifs will not be allowed to repeat history of attack on Supreme Court. Protection of State Institutions is national, constitutional, democratic, and political responsibility of all patriotic forces, and to keep this responsibility all opposition parties including PPP will be at the forefront.
Mian Manzoor Wattoo had a meeting with Senior Leader of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr Hasan Mohiuddin here on Tuesday and discussed the political situation of the country. He said Dr Tahirul Qadri united opposition parties at single platform and in the best interest of country as well as its people, opposition parties need to forge closer ties above their party interests.
Dr Hasan Mohiuddin said that Opposition should unite on one point agenda to hold killers of Model Town incident accountable under the law. He said it is for first time in the history of country that civil secretariat was locked down and bureaucrats observed strike at the behest of Government. This was act of treason against state and there is dire need to check this lawlessness. Bureaucrats must keep in mind they have taken oath of allegiance with State, not with Sharif family.
Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that Muslim league-N is family limited party, like past this family is still united to defend their corruption. This family is using N league as shield to conceal this economic crimes and save their skin. They have nothing to produce before court in corruption cases. N league must intimate in writing to Election Commission that they chosen Nawaz Sharif as their "Quaid" for life, they will know the constitutional, moral and political status of their decision.
