On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,295. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.062 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,024.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.144 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 719.855 million, silver PKR 549.266 million, WTI crude oil PKR 535.267 million, DJ PKR 448.417 million, NSDQ100 PKR 258.950 million, platinum PKR 189.822 million, natural gas PKR 116.510 million, copper PKR 49.692 million, SP500 PKR 44.891 million and Brent crude oil PKR 5.211 million. In agricultural commodities, 35 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 15.833 million were traded.
