Sindh Excise and Taxation department on Monday claimed to have arrested two drugs peddlers and seized 20 kilograms of hashish from Dhabay Jee farmhouse. According to details, the information was received that some drugs peddlers were actively running their illicit activities at Dhabay Jee and selling hashish to the picnickers with no fear of apprehension.
Reacting on this information, the Excise team had mounted strict vigilance to identity the spot where such illicit activities were being continued. After couple of days of monitoring, the team has spotted a farmhouse where these unscrupulous elements were running their unlawful business.
Resultantly, the excise team has conducted a raid on Dhabay Jee Farmhouse Raess Hoot Khan Baloch Goth Gharo, district Thatta that led the recovery of 20 kgs of Marijuana (charas). The team has also taken two drugs peddlers into custody, who were later identified as Ajmair Khan s/o Akbar Khan and Muhammad Hayat s/o Muhammad Rafique Khan. Consequent upon recovery, the case has been registered against the detained persons. Further investigation was under way.
