A delegation of rice exporters will visit Syria anytime soon for help of war affected Muslims. Rafique Suleman, Senior Vice Chairman, Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP) has said that Muslims of Syria are in desperate need of help, therefore it has decided to send a delegation for relief work.
He was addressing a reception organised in honour of Fayyaz Ilyas Senior Vice Chairman, Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) and his team at REAP House Karachi.
During the event, REAP's Managing Committee Members Jawed Jillani, Asif Polani, Safder Mehrki, and prominent rice exporters Syed Badar Chishti, Usman Shaikh, Fuad Garib, Anwer Mianoor, Ashfaq Ghaffar as well as Afzal Chamdia, President Dhoraji Association and famous social & religious personality Haji Rafiq Pardesi were also present.
Rafique expressed his gratitude for government of Turkey, giving shelter to hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees.
He said that in end of this week, a high profile REAP delegation will leave to visit Syria to extend their every possible support to them. Prominent Rice Exporters will be the part of this delegation.
On the occasion, Afzal Chamdia President Dhoraji Association said that Syrian Muslims are facing severe hardship and waiting for our support to get some relief. "We have recently visited the border areas of Syria and Turkey and there is a need to do something for them", he added.
He also informed that a Roti Plant is under construction with the support of Saylani Welfare which will be completed very soon. This plant has the capacity to product 100,000 Roti's per day. Haji Rafiq Pardesi expressed his pleasure that rice exporters are exporting huge quantity of rice in East African countries despite tough competition in African countries. He also offered his services to REAP members for any support and help regarding visa of African country Tanzania.
On the occasion, Fayyaz Ilyas, Senior Vice Chairman Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) said that Real Estate sector is facing many problems such as water and sewerage.
He requested the government to facilitate this important sector, as most of the development works, are done by private sector, if government of Pakistan extend support to this sector, so many basic problems may be resolved.
He appreciated the social work done by REAP members towards the humanity and said that we have to work together and involve in social welfare activities for our own life and after life benefits.
