Chairman NAB Justice Javed Iqbal ordered complaint verification against National Highway Authority (NHA) for alleged irregularities to the tune of billions of rupees in award of contract for Multan-Sukkur Motorway by the NHA and alleged corruption.
The chairman NAB also ordered complaint verification against Punjab MPA from Gujranwala Sohail Zafar for having assets beyond known sources of income. The NAB chairman ordered complaint verification against former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Usman Saifullah, Member Policy Board, Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) for their alleged regarding illegalities in appointments in the SECP, said a press release.
The NAB has made it clear that the complaints are being verified on receiving the complaints against the accused regarding alleged allegations of corruption, which are not yet to prove. The NAB will provide ample opportunity to all concerned for presenting their point of view and after that if needed, legal proceedings will only be taken against the accused persons as per law.-PR
