Body of seven-year-old boy found in Mardan

A seven-year-old boy was found dead in Tambulak area of Mardan on Sunday. In a statement issued here, District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan Dr Mian Saeed said that the boy was last seen playing outside his house before he went missing. He added that family of the child lodged complaint with the police after he did not return home. Earlier, an unidentified suspect dumped a sack containing the child's body in the fields near his house and fled, he said.
Police investigators cordoned off the crime scene and began collecting evidence. Body of the boy was sent to Mardan Medical Complex for a post-mortem examination where his DNA samples were collected and sent to the Bacha Khan Medical College forensic laboratory.
