Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Sunday came hard on judiciary and political opponent Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan, saying former prime minister was removed from office for not taking salary from his son. Speaking to the 'Workers Convention' here on Sunday she asked the workers to promise her that they will bury those powers in 2018 election by the power of your vote who had conspired to remove their leader from office.
She asked the party supporters "do you want your vote to get respected" and that "five members of any institution should not send your leader home". She asked the party workers to promise her that they will bury all those forces in the upcoming general election through power of votes.
Maryum said that not a corruption of six rupees was proven against Nawaz Sharif during last six months trial in cases in National Accountability court. She said that NAB has also turned down their request for one week exemption from appearing before the court as they want to pay a visit to Kalsum Nawaz Sharif who is being treated for cancer in London. While criticizing at PTI chief, she said that won a seat from Rawalpindi in 2013 election but never visited his constituency since then and all the development work were done in the city from roads to metro bus and cardiology hospitals by the ruling Pakistan Muslim League (N).
He has nothing to show to the people in the next elections, she added. She said "PTI Chairman is finished Insha Allah and asked the workers to forget about him." She said this is not a Jalsa (political meeting) but an awakening for revolution and no one will be able to stop it.
Earlier while referring to shoe throwing incident at her father during a religious gathering in Lahore, she said "Pindi Waloo your leader Nawaz Sharif is a brave man and he can not be frightened by such trifling tactics. Nawaz Sharif, she said is treading a right path and those who are on the right path always faced such ordeals. This intensity of your passion shows that people of Rawalpindi have been hurt over what happened to their leader in Lahore.
She said that Nawaz Sharif was fighting for the people, democracy as well as rule of law in the country and for the rights of people's representatives. She said that political opponents of Nawaz Sharif are scared of defeat from increasing popularity of former prime minister.
