The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claimed on Wednesday to have arrested a police constable for selling Call Detail Records (CDRs) on a 'fake' Facebook profile. Acting on a complaint filed by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) Director Enforcement Muhammad Shafique, an FIA cyber crime team headed by Deputy Director Khalid Anis conducted a raid in Vehari district and apprehended accused constable Imran Nazeer.
According to the FIA spokesman, the accused was working as constable in Vehari police. Imran was involved in illegal sale of Call Detail Records (CDRs) by pretending himself as Assistant Director of the PTA on a fake Facebook profile, the spokesman added.
