On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,245. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.147 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,245.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 2.279 billion followed by gold PKR 2.036 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.365 billion, DJ PKR 571.957 million, NSDQ100 PKR 290.640 million, silver PKR 185.685 million, platinum PKR 143.112 million, SP500 PKR 140.353 million, copper PKR 60.230 million, Brent crude oil PKR 43.126 million and natural gas PKR 30.342 million.
In agricultural commodities, one lotof cotton amounting to PKR 0.456 million was traded.
