The Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) and National Mountaineering and Climbing Federation held a reception here at the Adventure Complex on Friday in the honour for Polish mountaineers who had returned from the National Winter Expedition to K-2. Speaking on the occasion, expedition leader Krzysztof Wielicki shared the details about the expedition and rescue operation for the French climber on Nanga Parbat. After two months of subfreezing temperatures, gale-force winds and dramatic accidents Wielicki on March 5, had declared an end to their attempt to summit K2.
