Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) has given a deadline of 30 days to all the super stores of the provincial capital for removing stock of all the illegal, sub standard and unregistered companies. It was decided in a dialogue between PSQCA and Super Stores Association Lahore held at PSQCA office here on Friday.
After serving notices, the PSQCA raided different super stores of the city and seized huge quantity of stock of illegal, unregistered and substandard companies two days ago. After which, a delegation of Super Stores Association led by Jamil Ahmed Chairman, Akhtar Mahmood president and Imran Saleemi general secretary, reached to PSQCA Lahore office and met Director PSQCA Lahore Zone Waseem Mirza, Deputy Directors Asghar Ali, Rizwan Ahmed and Assistant Director Muhammad Numan.
After a successful dialogue, the stores owners were given a deadline of 30 days to remove all the stock of illegal and unregistered companies. The PSQCA will identify the products of all the illegal and unregistered companies and will launch an awareness campaign for the citizen to purchase the products of only registered companies. The association assured the authority to remove the stock of illegal companies during the time spam. The association also aimed to discourage illegal and unregistered companies.
