IBA's Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance (CEIF-IBA) aims to become a world class center of excellence which nurtures new ideas and state-of-the-art research to stimulate industry growth. I am pleased to share that in a short span of less than three years CEIF has made remarkable progress through strong industry linkages with leading Islamic finance players in Pakistan.
The Centre is now hosting Second World Islamic Finance Forum to provide a platform where leading academicians can interact with global industry leaders to generate innovative ideas that can act as catalysts for growth of Islamic finance. I would like to welcome all international and local delegates who are part of this landmark event.
In today's world, Finance education is incomplete without education of Islamic Finance. At CEIF-IBA, we are engaged in conducting professional trainings, awareness programs, practical research and academic degree program specialising in Islamic Finance. CEIF has signed MOUs with various local and global institutions for conducting ground breaking research and contemporary training programs. Sind Judicial Academy, Islamic University of Maldives, AAOIFI, IRTI, INCEIF to name a few. IBA CEIF has conducted over 40 training programs and trained more than 1500+ practitioners. More than 25 awareness programs have been organised in various cities of Pakistan with local and global speakers of repute. CEIF has engaged in faculty exchange and student exchange program with INCEIF to provide global exposure to MS Islamic Banking and Finance students. With a committed team led by Dr Ishrat Husain, CEIF - IBA is striving to take Islamic finance to the next level through innovation and groundbreaking research that can be put to practice.
