In order to develop the entrepreneur skills of the youth of Sindh, the Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam in collaboration with Sports and Youth Affairs Department of Government of Sindh arranged a seminar on entitled "CPEC and opportunities for the Youth of Sindh province".
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dr Mujeebuddin Memon, Vice Chancellor, SAU Tandojam, urged the youngsters to prepare themselves in order to benefit from the CPEC opportunities and play their constructive role in modernizing the agricultural economy by adding value addition and entrepreneurship at gross root level.
He added that CPEC is a significant part of One Belt One Road (OBOR) or Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and must bring a major boost in Pakistani economy. He appreciated the efforts of the Ministry Of The Sports And Youth Affairs for organizing such a wonderful event for the interaction, motivation and more important knowledge building for our agrarian youth.
He added that a big number of job opportunities will be available for the youth of Sindh province to achieve their socio-economic development. Dr Rizwan Khan, CEO of DRGA Global Associates LLC, conducted an informative session on how students of the SAU can reap the benefits of CPEC related projects. He also highlighted the history of silk route and its significance to the economy at that time. The revival of silk route through OBOR will bring the socio economic benefit to the poor community of the world, adding that the global GDP which stands at 78 trillion dollar today will grow many folds when the true benefit will be harvested from the OBOR.
He emphasized the youth to come up with solid proposal and take benefits through entrepreneurial skills. He highlighted various entrepreneurships will be helpful for the agrarian youth of Sindh. Later on, Humair Ahmed, CEO of International Education Office (IEO), provided a hands-on workshop on Master Skills so that students can be more comfortable in their practical lives. Both sessions were followed by the Q&A session.
Professor Dr Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Director University Advancement & Financial Assistance welcomed the participants and said that CPEC is the platform of inclusive growth, which will create more new jobs for the youngsters.
