On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,360. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 14.569 billion and the number of lots traded was 20,955.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 7.879 billion followed by WTI crude oil PKR 2.592billion, silver PKR 1.267 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.292billion, DJ PKR 622.222 million, NSDQ100 PKR 428.608 million, platinum PKR 348.043 million, copper PKR 60.335 million, natural gas PKR 37.721 million, SP500 PKR 25.372 million and Brent crude oil PKR 15.318 million. In agricultural commodities, 24 lot of cotton amounting to PKR 15.797 million was traded.
