A colourful parent's day ceremony of the intellectual school Haji Abad campus Lower Dir was held at Tarun Shadi Hall here on Saturday. Assistant commissioner Timergara Ashfaq Ahmad Khan was chief guest on the occasion. Students sung national songs, presented speeches and cultural show reflecting cultures of all four provinces.
Addressing on the occasion the chief guest Ashfaq Ahmad Khan said on March 23, the historic Pakistan resolution was passed which at last resulted in creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of sub-continent where they could live their lives in accordance with their beliefs and values of Islam.
"Today the motherland was faced with multiple internal and external challenges and it was our prime responsibility to cope with these challenges by showing unity among our ranks", Ashfaq Ahmad Khan noted and called on students to prepare themselves for taking on challenges of safeguarding and protecting the geographical and ideological boundaries of the motherland.
District councilor Muhammad Dawood Said Khan, ANP former district information secretary Malik Shafiuallah Yousafzai and a large number of students and their parents were present on the occasion.
