Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) central ameer, Senator Sirajul Haq said that his party wants to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state where there is no difference between the rich and poor.
He was speaking at Jamia Tafheem-ul-Quran during a certificate distribution ceremony in district Mardan on Monday. JI KP ameer, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, president Rabita Al Madaris Pakistan, Maulana Abdul Malak, JI district Mardan ameer, Maulana Dr Attaur Rehman and others were present on the occasion. He said, "We are supporters of Islamic democracy and politics." He said the religion seminaries are our civilization and a strong castle of Islamic values, which will be protected at any cost. "Islam is our main centre of politics. We want to implement Shariah in Islamabad. We believe on struggle for Islamic democracy and politics," he added.
He hoped that a true Islamic government will be established in the country.
Commenting about revival of Muttihada Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), JI chief said the alliance of various religious parties would block way of secularization and liberalization in the county.
Haq further said MMA is the alternative platform under the current scenario. He said the secular and liberal powers have gifted the country with unrest, unemployment, poverty and corruption.
He added that people have greatly disappointed with them, because of which they want change and revolution in the country. He said MMA can only bring constructive change and revolution. "We want to introduce such a system, wherein remove the difference between rich and poor," he added. He said the religious segment, importantly people of the country had expressed great pleasure with the restoration of MMA in the country.
Earlier, KP JI ameer, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan addressed the ceremony. He said there was no room for judicial and military martial law in the country.
He said JI will ensure all rights to people and will establish a true welfare state in the country, if they were voted to power.
