Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court sent three petitions to a larger bench for their disposal in accordance with the law filed against anti judiciary speeches allegedly delivered by former PM Nawaz Sharif and other PML-N leaders. The petitioner Amina Malik through her counsel Azhar Siddique advocated contended that anti judiciary speeches are being delivered to incite the people.
She said LHC had already banned the speeches of MQM chief in London.
It is pertinent to mention that in past another citizen Munir Ahmad, contended in his petition that PEMRA had the powers to bar the media houses from airing anything which was against the laws and offensive to the state institutions but it did not play its due role to stop coverage of such speeches.
