Qatari Consul General Mishal Mohammed Al-Ansari has said that in upcoming years Qatar will increase Pakistan work force from 0.1 million to 0.3 million, annually. "To strengthen relations with Pakistan, Qatar has provided on-arrival visa facilities to Pakistani visitors," he said, speaking at a meeting of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI).
He briefed the gathering about law reforms introduced by his country to facilitate investments and business activities. He said Qatar sustained blockade and diplomatic crisis of last year and its economy prevailed to higher venues.
He said during this crisis Qatar has found more opportunities and alternative to make stable its economy. He also briefed KATI about the Vision 2030.
Al-Ansari also expressed his satisfaction on current economic and law and order conditions in Pakistan. Deputy Head of Qatari Mission in Pakistan Mubarak Saeed Al Marri and adviser to CG Qatar Muhammad Anwar also accompanied him during his visit to KATI. KATI president Tariq Malik briefed him about Korangi Industrial Area and also urged him to play active role to make stronger trade and business ties between the both countries.
He said Pakistan and Qatar share the values based on faith and Muslim Unity.
Tariq Malik mentioned that bilateral cooperation of Qatar and Pakistan brought about a revolution in energy sector of Pakistan and he expressed hope similar enthusiasm in overall trade relations would also de demonstrated.
"Law and order and economic conditions of Pakistan are improving with every passing day and it is high time for Qatari investors to come forward and make investment in Pakistan," he said.
