Quaid of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government made no new hospital, school and colleges in the province, accusing the provincial government of committing corruption. Nawaz Sharif said the ruling PML-N govt restored peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and rid the country of terrorism. He added Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousufzai has come back to Pakistan after his government brought back peace to the Swat valley.
He was addressing a public gathering in Swat. Nawaz accompanied by MNA Captain Safdar (retd), Senator Pervez Rashid, PML-N KP president and Advisor to Prime Minister Engr Amir Muqam and other local leaders. Taking a jibe on PTI chairman, Nawaz said Imran Khan will not stay in power anymore in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will be ousted soon.
"I will restore the sanctity of vote with your help," he said. "Do you approve of the methods to sack an elected prime minister?" In his address, Nawaz while calling Imran Khan 'Ilzam Khan', said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief will be ousted from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said Imran's government did nothing in the province. "Has any school changed here? No new schools have been constructed here," said the former premier. "If anyone has filled their pockets with your money, then Amir Muqam is about to come here and retrieve your money," said Nawaz.
Nawaz alleged that the PTI chairman has usurped the money of his aide Jehangir Tareen, who he referred as 'Imran's ATM'. Nawaz Sharif said if people of the province wanted to witness development they should go to Punjab. Earlier, speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz made it overtly clear to not expect respect from them (PML-N) for revengeful verdicts. She apprised attendants that bomb blasts were a matter of routine life during era of Zardari and Musharraf.
Maryam claimed that current Pakistan belongs to PML-N. She said, "The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa made false promises with you. Those who chanted slogans of educational emergency took shelter behind Supreme Court (SC). They tried to impose judicial emergency". Maryam asserted that narrative of Nawaz Sharif was against oppression. "People of Swat has also stamped Nawaz Sharif's rhetoric", Maryam said while adding, "A joke was made out of the voting process during Senate elections".
Maryam lashed out at Imran Khan and Asif Zardari over what she says an engineered 'PTI-PPP alliance' to deprive ruling party of its Senate seats. She tagged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan a brother of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari. "Don't cast vote for PTI as it would be automatically transferred to PPP. The agenda which brought Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari on same page is not the agenda of masses".
"Imran Khan would ask his voters to vote for arrow [PPP's election symbol] in the next elections," Maryam said. She said the PML-N respects judiciary but they can't respect the 'vengeful verdicts'. Maryam stated that Pervez Musharraf was guilty of breaking the Constitution while he absconded after making excuses of back pain. She asked attendants if they ever heard judicial apparatus became an impediment in the way of country's progress.
