HOUSTON: Exxon Mobil Corp was raising the production level of the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) at its 365,644 barrel-per-day (bpd) Beaumont, Texas, refinery after restarting the unit early on Thursday, said sources familiar with plant operations.
Exxon began restarting 120,000 bpd FCCU on Tuesday after replacing a malfunctioning valve that stopped a week-long restart attempt on Dec. 3. The FCCU was shut for a planned overhaul that lasted seven weeks and began on Oct. 4.
