On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,338. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.963 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,080.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.859 billion followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.127 million, currencies through COTS PKR 448.165 million, DJ PKR 416.955 million, silver PKR 396.335 million, NSDQ100 PKR 385.749 million, platinum PKR 149.360 million, natural gas PKR 71.725 million, SP500 PKR 53.523 million, Brent crude oil PKR 39.682 million and copper PKR 15.176 million. In agricultural commodities, 7 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 3.316 million were traded.
