Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has entered into alliance with Saleem Saifullah headed Marwat Ittehad Group (MIG) for the upcoming general elections. The Marwat Ittehad and PTI have decided to contest general elections will mutual cooperation and consultations. This was announced during a press conference of KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak along with the MIC chairman at Chief Minister's House here Sunday.
During the press conference prominent personalities including Barrister Sher Afzal, Ihtesham Inamullah and former district nazim, Lakki Marwat Ashfaq Khan along with their hundreds of supporters from JUI-F and other political parties announced to join PTI. According to the agreement Saleem Saifullah Khan will contest election from NA-36, Lakki Marwat as independent candidate while candidates for the provincial assembly constituency will be selected by a committee.
Speaking on the occasion, Saleem Saifullah Khan thanked the chief minister for the alliance and said their political relation is since 2013, Saifullah brothers are enjoying close relations with PTI. He expressed sorrow over the matter that though Maulana Fazalur Rehman was elected to the National Assembly from their constituency, but his reservations over the CPEC, Kurram Tangi Dam and other projects were tantamount to enmity with Marwat tribe.
He said the people of whole southern districts have deep concern over the decisions and priorities of Maulana Fazalur Rehman and entering to alliance with PTI was the demand of the Marwat tribe. Those present on the occasion were included Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Asad Qaiser, Provincial Ministers Ali Amin Gandapore, Shah Farman, Advisor to CM on Transport, Malik Shah Mohammad Wazir, MPAs Shaukat Ali Yousafzai, Zar Gul Khan, Ziaullah Bangash and others.
