The city police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested around 81 accused in different targeted raids conducted in various parts of metropolis during last 24 hours. Police said that in their 80 raids and two encounters conducted as part of the ongoing operation led to arrests of 81 criminals including two murderers, three absconders, two robbers.
Some 12 accused were arrested under arms act. 21 were arrested under narcotics act, and 40 others involved in criminal activities were also arrested during the period. Some 13 hand guns were also recovered during the course of actions. The under arrest accused were moved to undisclosed location for further interrogations.
