Deputy Commissioner visits wheat procurement centres, reviews arrangements

Under the prescribed policy of Punjab government, 149,000 metric ton wheat will be procured in the district by the Food department for which 13 procurement centres are working in the different parts of the district. Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani paid a whirlwind visit of the different procurement centres to check the arrangements for the wheat farmers. Assistant Commissioner City Ahmar Suhail Kafi, AC Jaranwala Shehryar Arif, DFC Amanullah and other officers were also accompanied with him.
Deputy Commissioner went to Jaranwala City check the arrangements for the wheat procurement campaign. He observed the process of receiving applications from the wheat growers for the issuance of Bardana to them according to the revenue record. He also interacted with the farmers and inquired about the performance of the food, revenue and others departments. He assured them that the all out facilities would be provided to them during the wheat procurement campaign.
